The.Move.

A fur-ball chasing fingers.
Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place.”
~ Rumi
So.  We’ve moved.
The Flat @ No. 14 is our new abode.
A new beginning.
A simpler life.
It’s been a long time in the coming.
There’s a small semblance of sanity left.
But only just.
A rather tired youngest lemming ... so over the packing.
THIS move has been cathartic.
A cleansing of sorts.
It’s been emotionally and physically demanding
but oh SO necessary.
So much less debris in our lives.
Still more than what we need but an AWFUL lot less.
This week is an unpacking and catch-up week.
Catching up with me, that is.
The soul and body have taken a hammering the last few months
and are in sore need of some sustenance.
Early morning rambles and long walks in the waves are essential.
No time restraints this week.
No schedule
Just doing what the hound and I love most.
The more I think about the turmoil we’ve overcome these past few months
the more proud I am of  the lemmings AND I.
It hasn’t been an easy time and probably won’t be for a while yet.
We’re SURVIVORS though and the lessons learnt
and difficulties overcome are empowering.
An oldest lemming who wouldn't smile for the photo.
This was sent by a friend and sums it up completely!

“.... And once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through,
how you managed to survive.
You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over.
But one thing is certain.
When you come out of the storm
you won't be the same person who walked in... “
~Haruki Murakami
And a last thought as I head off to bed.
On most of the nights that we’ve been in The Flat @ No. 14 we’ve heard owls in the garden.
In all the time we lived in Polygon Road and Pannui before that,
and even in Waimarie,
we DIDN’T hear ANY owls.
Bessie meeting the fur-balls.
Awesome indeed.
"Never lose hope, my heart, miracles dwell in the invisible."
