I bought him his very own Fluffy!

An ordinary feather made sparkling by the morning dew.
“Of course roses are wonderful but the so-called ‘ordinary’ is really sublime.”
~ Linda Chave

When you see the beauty in the ordinariness of everyday life then you know you’re really living. Life sucks at times.  Things happen that you have no control over.  Here’s the rub .... it’s how you respond to what happens that determines if you see that beauty or not.
I choose to see the beauty .... always.
Reflections in the most unexpected of places.
Today was Sam’s birthday
A wet, woefully grey day to have a birthday BUT we made it beautiful.
Sam, earing his new collar
He’s all of 2 years old and, in honour of his birthday,
I bought him his very own Fluffy ...... and I bought the hound one too!

It might have been a bad idea.

For those unfamiliar with caffeine lingo, a Fluffy is a serving of frothy warm milk.

It wasn’t only the girls at the Co-op that looked at us sideways.  So did all the other customers too.
It’s the first time the girls have been asked to make a Fluffy for a hound.

We’re not the NORM as far as customers go though so they should be used to expecting the unexpected from us.

Pete of course ... Carol’s Pete that is .... thinks we’re both whacky.  When Carol phoned him to say Sam and the hound had fluffies to drink for Sam’s birthday an image of him shaking his head popped into my mind.  I think he’s given up on us.

From the hounds perspective it was an undeniable hit!

They couldn’t believe their luck.  A WHOLE cup FULL to the brim with froth .... just for them.  One for EACH of them!

Their reaction was sublime! Two hounds each with a nose stuck in a cup, frothy milk all over their jowls .... licking as fast as they could in case this unexpected but delicious treat suddenly disappeared.   What a spark of sunshine it was in a rather wet and dismal morning.   It’s impossible to be dim and dreary when you have hounds like ours.  They don’t know the meaning of the words dim ... dreary .... dismal.  They are happiness personified!

Is it any wonder we love them.
