The blonde and brunette

They need a donation box!
Early morning clouds touched by that glorious sun
The hounds that is.  They provide non-stop entertainment to visitors and locals alike who happen to frequent our beach on the days they’re digging up the sand.

All donations welcome!  It would pay for the caffeine necessary to keep us warm whilst the hounds DO their thing.

The canine blonde and brunette in question have unlimited energy.  They would chase balls and retrieve logs all day if allowed. The “human” blonde and brunette that accompany them DON’T have the luxury of spending all day on the sand and in the waves ... so home they must eventually go .... albeit reluctantly.
It just doesn't work when they're on opposite sides of the stick
We were thanked by several people this morning for the entertainment provided. Carol and I are left grinning from ear to ear.  Who would have thought that our hounds would make so many people smile!

They made me smile when all 3 wanted to share in the middle lemming’s brioche.  I don’t think she anticipated having to split her breakfast between so many mouths.  Trying to get Sam to put his bum on the ground BEFORE being given his piece of brioche is nigh on impossible!
I think I've got their attention.
His bottom DOESN’T stop waggling!

Fridays are becoming THE day to be on the beach.  Not only does the hound get to trade balls with her usual co-conspirator but so many other hounds join in the fray.

Panda’s usually the first REGULAR we espy on the sand.  He LOVES playing tug-of-war with the hound’s ball.  They’re pretty evenly matched as far as weight is concerned so it’s NOT always the hound that comes away with the ball.  You can see from the photo why he’s called Panda ... he’s a gorgeous boy!

Next up is Bandit.  He doesn’t want the ball, he just wants to herd the hound ... and she doesn’t WANT to be herded.  They have a very vocal debate, each trying to out-bark the other.

We met a new boy today too ... a Chocolate Lab/Weinmariner ..... called Odie.  His human was great at tossing logs so we left him to it and sat on the steps and enjoyed our coffee.  Just as we were getting comfortable and settling in for a nice natter, he upped and left the beach.
Odie wouldn't swim with them, just waited in the shallows and helped when they reached the shore.
Dam.
Bailey trying hard to catch up and get a grip on the stick
Back to ME tossing logs and throwing balls for the blonde and brunette.
At least I didn’t get wounded today.

Wouldn't be a Friday morning without a sparrow!
