Last night's amazing sunset ... our world is truly remarkable!! |
Anyone who knows me well will know I love quotations and so often the right quotation comes along just when I’m struggling with something. Tut, a motivational website I follow, often hits the nail on the head ........ for some unfathomable reason their daily message is often what I need to hear.
Thomas Jefferson got it so right when he said “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal ........... but ........ nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude."
Tut’s message today, albeit a bit confusing, said pretty much the same thing ..... if we truly believe that our thoughts are unlimited, that divine intervention can be freely summoned by anyone to help make their dreams come true, then we can achieve anything.
So I just know now that my Bokke have been reading the same messages as me ... they’re visualising the same thing as me ... my team holding that Webb-Ellis trophy aloft!!!
On a similar note though..... if the local media continue churning out all this crap about the Flightless Fowls not having the gumption to make the final and win, then they won’t ....... because the thoughts that are being put in their heads will make them believe they can’t. Simplistic of me I know .... but ALL of the NZ public and the media need to back their team and stop the negativity about previous World Cups! It’s corrosive ... it sneaks insiduously into the sub-conscious and gives credence to the belief that they can’t do it.
The "non-controversial" rugby ball |
Pete, Chocolat and the offending flags! |
The hound is obviously feeling the pressure of being Kiwi born and SA raised .... she chose to take the middle road today where ball selection was concerned ... and take the non-controversial rugby ball to the beach .... she left the “ugly” one AND the “beautiful” one behind.
Back to my local coffee shop ..... they now have a large FF flag and a US flag above their awning ... the US flag because St. Heliers, as a village, has adopted the States as their second team .... it’s just going from bad to worse ....! Graham Henry and his wife frequent my local haunt too .... they were there this morning when I suggested to Pete that, because of his Welsh ancestory, he should put a Welsh flag up. Mrs Henry didn’t think it would be very patriotic of Pete to remove the FF flag and replace it with a Welsh one ............................ why ever not??
