Go SHARKS ... and go CHIEFS!

Go Chiefs!
Low tide and early morning sun = reflections!
The hounds took out ALL those Crusaders players today .... well ..... they imagined they did. They had a Chiefs rugby ball and they weren’t taking prisoners. Sam took down Ritchie McCall and annihilated him ... it’s exactly what the Chiefs need to do to the Crusaders this evening. GO CHIEFS!!!

I will of course be singing a different tune next weekend if the final ends up being between MY Sharks and Carol’s Chiefs .... could be an interesting test of our friendship! Neither of us wants the Crusaders or Stormers to be in the final but it’s a big ask for my Sharks after all the traveling they’ve had to do these past few weeks. Jet lag is a nasty beast.

Sam could give those Chiefs players some tips on how to get the ball out of a ruck and score a try .... he’s an awesome rugby hound. He dribbles the ball along the sand with his nose with such precision and control ... he might be a dumb Aussie but he’s sure learnt how to play THE game!
Bella, Sam and Chocolat with Suzanne and Carol

Sam .... shaking!
Julia didn’t join us today as she’s not well and Carol’s not feeling so great either. She normally does a 10km walk with another friend on Fridays but didn’t have the energy for it today. My hound didn’t mind ... she got to play ball with Sam on the beach .... and she LOVES that! Suzanne and Bella joined us too so the Labrador Gang was well represented in the waves.

The hounds ALWAYS swop balls when Carol brings Sam’s rugby ball to the beach. For some reason, Sam prefers my hound’s disemboweled ball. My hound doesn’t mind ... she thinks Sam’s Chiefs rugby ball is pretty cool .... so much so that she’s very reluctant to fetch her own when Bella leaves it out in the waves or in the mud. We need to teach Bella that fetching the rugby ball means bringing it back to us too!

Jellyfish that's been washed up on the beach.
I really DO live in such an awesome spot ... the weather this morning was magnificent. The sun was shining, the tide was out and the hounds were in heaven. Mornings like this bring a sense of the surreal to my world ... would that everyone could be in that kind of moment with me.

Yep ... he needs her to fetch the ball!
It’s got colder as the day’s progressed though ... we’ve just got back from having sundowners at Moretons and it’s COLD out there! Clear skies and sunshine are not an indicator of warmth during winter!

I’m SO looking forward to the rugby this weekend .... semi-final time and I SO want my Sharks to beat the Stormers!!

She's been teaching Sam how to get this manic look

Shaking in the water DOESN'T make you drier.

Fonzi and Nico ... with his grown-up haircut!
