There’s a TIME THIEF at work and it’s stealing the very minutes in my day.
 |
Yes, this is ONE of the Time Thieves! |
Sunday is upon us and I don’t know where the rest of the week has disappeared to.
I remember my birthday that WASN’T and the awesomeness that it WAS
but the REST of the week has vanished in a blur.
(Yes ... that's meant to sound confusing because it was!)
 |
Browns Island early in the morning. |
An amazing blur ... but still a blur.
 |
And this time, EVERYONE, including the hound and Shimmer are looking at the camera! This was my birthday dinner evening at the middle lemming's abode. |
 |
"It's MY day!" |
I know I participated in TWO very profitable night markets on Thursday and Friday and enjoyed an evening BBQ at a friend on Saturday. The bits in between are a bit vague and hazy .... early morning rambles with the hound, work, packing and unpacking stock, visiting a friend in hospital and YES .... a few hours of sleep!
I do remember that the ‘blonde’ of the canine world took up residence
in my abode on Friday as his mother jetted of to Aussieland.
 |
Yep, Sam's tired of having his photo taken ... he wants to go BEACH! |
Between him and the hound they created bedlam at our place. The lemmings loved it.
One hound is awesome,
TWO hounds are fantastic
.... and when Indy's ADDED to the mix, the roof lifts off with all the noise!
I’m surprised we DIDN’T have the neighbours knocking on the door!
Three large Labradors are space AND time consumers!
I know Carol will have missed her hound, and I’m sure Sam’s missed Carol,
but I’m NOT sure who will have missed who more.
Please note that I DON’T include Pete in that equation.
As with my significant other, Pete knows he’s not top of the pile in the love stakes.
A ‘blonde’ usurper’s playing ‘king of the castle’.
Sam could have gone to work with Pete on Friday but I doubt anyone would have accomplished anything had Sam been in the office. He has an uncanny ability to make even the most hound ‘UN’friendly human interact with him.
Work ... and deadlines ... and customers ... would’ve taken a back seat.
My work DEFINITELY took a back seat but I did get to LAUGH
..... LOTS!
Their antics had us in stitches. Sam kept trying to snatch the soft rugby ball out of the hound’s mouth and she wasn’t having any of it. She’s smart. With ball in mouth she ran THROUGH my desk to get away from Sam. He ran AROUND the desk to catch her. By this time she’d already come BACK through the desk. Sam couldn’t fathom it out and we were in NO fit state to help him.
Belly laughs are physically EXHAUSTING!
 |
Playing 'hide and seek' under my desk! |
Exhaustion is a state of mind but a very real one.
This week has been physically and mentally exhausting
but at the same time, incredibly satisfying
... even WITH the presence of a TIME THIEF!
