I'm the MASTER of distraction ...

Bright clouds beyond the houses this morning
Shimmer, the cat who lived”, was back at the vet today for a check-up. She’s doing well, has actually GAINED weight ... which is awesome news considering she’d lost nearly a kilo in body mass since the accident. Thank goodness she was carrying a little extra flab! Next Wednesday she’ll go in for the day so Martin can anaesthetise her, remove the wire and see how the jaw is healing. She MIGHT even have the feeding tube removed!

I've named this one "Little Hitler" as he bosses them all around.
I don’t think ANYONE can understand how time-consuming feeding a kitty every hour can be unless they’ve ever had to do it themselves. We’ve been doing it for the last 2 weeks and my productivity, from a work perspective, has been a big fat ZILCH! No sooner do you get involved in doing something than an alarm in your head rings to say “FEED the cat” ... and off you go. I have NEVER had to watch the clock as much as I have alately. Roll on next Wednesday!!
This one's cute

My flock

To be fair it’s been a combination of Cayl’s, Dave, Callum and I doing the feeding duty, but when they’re all at Uni the onus is on me and I’m NOT the best timekeeper in the world .... especially when I get involved in something.

Yep ... it's that manic hound again
I’m the MASTER of distraction .... anything and everything can and will derail my good intentions. I even get distracted writing my blog ... I’ll stop to check the spelling of a word or the author of a quotation and something will catch my eye and off I’ll go on a tangent. It’s very counter-productive ... BUT just so ADDICTIVE .... and I LEARN so much!!

Well I THINK I learn so much .... there are others, no names mentioned, who might not agree.

The log keeps disappearing in the waves
This rain is being counter-productive too ... it makes everything WET ... and SLIPPERY!! Yes yes I know ... I get wet most days ... but that’s usually just my legs and feet. With the rain we’ve been having these past few days it’s ALL of me that’s getting wet .... and COLD! Even the hound’s feeling the cold ... the hosepipe is one of her LEAST favourite parts of returning home.

Because the weather’s been so inclement Julia’s been leaving Indy indoors whilst she’s at work. We’ve been popping over at lunchtime to let him out for a widdle .... and have a game of tug-of-war .... all in the interests of product-testing the quality of the toys Julia buys for him of course. Yesterday he wasn’t interested in watering the garden but today he sure was .... I thought it would never end .... the stream was endless!
Gorgeous reflections!
My hound LOVES visiting Indy  .... he has so many toys and she gets to play with them all ... AND take them off him. Today it was a multi-coloured triangle that they tested .... it passed their quality-control test with flying colours. I would have had far more successful photos of their product testing if they’d been outside ... but it was raining .... and the phone isn’t quite up to the challenge of taking photos inside.

Tomorrow is a new day ... hopefully a more productive day ... but whatever it brings, I just KNOW it’ll make me smile!
The beautiful multi-coloured Rosea ...

.... and there he goes!

Container ship heading out
