Carol’s sanity has departed and left NO forwarding address!! Oh dear.
She left Sam ‘HOME ALONE’ today whilst she went out for a few hours. Under normal circumstances that wouldn’t be a problem but Sam’s the Man who hasn’t had his daily constitutional since he had THAT op! He has oodles of energy to spare!
Carol returned home to a house that DIDN’T resemble the one she’d left. Sam had found a muddy log and taken it into the house and onto the bed to chew .... not his bed mind you, but one of the spare beds. His bed had been man-handled .... or should that be dog-handled .... from one room to another. He’d spread ALL his toys throughout the house AND searched through Carol’s shoes to try and find her walking shoes. I’m sure he thinks she’s lost them!
She’s counting the hours till Tuesday morning and the restoration of her sanity!
She NEEDED the ramble the hound and I had this morning.
I wish I could explain more eloquently in words the feeling I get when I head down to the beach each morning. It completes me ... it makes me feel whole. I was born to live next to the waves and to feel the energy pulsate through my body everyday. It’s wicked! We live in our own bit of paradise.
Coffee’s wicked too ... and I get to indulge in that addiction early every morning as well!
My day always begin with the RIGHT mix of ingredients!
... and SUNSHINE today!
... and a SOLAR ECLIPSE tomorrow .... which I won’t get to see because I’m at WORK!!
What I DID get to see and hear this afternoon was an impressive hail-storm .... and THUNDER! We seldom get hail-storms in Aux and the hail is never as large as some of the golf-ball size hail stones we used to get in SA ... which is why it was SO unusual!
It was FIERCE and FAST and FURIOUS and caught everyone unawares.
.... and then came the thunder! Long, loud, rumbling thunder. Even my hound, who’s usually unperturbed by fireworks and thunderstorms, lifted her head at the intensity of the thunder.
Her interest didn’t last long. A quick assessment of her surroundings to ensure all was in order then the head went down and she continued with her nap.
Contentment is.
