The Chocolat Express is soon to gain a new passenger!

An AMAZING sun rise!
Wowwee .... some sun rises just blow my mind .... they are JUST so magnificent! I didn’t expect this morning’s to be quite as breath-taking. There was so much cloud around and not a lot of clear sky but wow ..... when those rays started shining through the clouds and reflecting off the sea, it created the most awesome early morning vista. Would that everyone could share in the beauty of these early mornings ... they’re amazing!

I guess they'll be able to in the next few weeks as the sun is rising later and later in the day .... it was 7.21 before it poked it’s head over the horizon this morning. We’re not going to be able to wait at the view site or Glover Park for it much longer though as it’s cutting into our time to walk back down to the village and grab our caffeine fix before Julia heads for work.

Logs, logs and more logs ....
“The cat who lived” visited her friend Martin yesterday and spent the day with him. He x-rayed her jaw and, whilst happy with the way the jaw’s healing, wants to leave it wired for another 2 weeks ...... TWO MORE WEEKS of FEEDING her through the tube EVERY hour .... urgh!! I had my fingers and toes and everything in-between crossed in the hope that the wire would be removed .... NOT to be.
.... that we HAVE to bury!

There’s no guarantee either that when the wire is removed she’ll be able to feed herself. She’s been tube-fed now for 5 weeks .... it’ll be 7 weeks by the time the wire’s removed .... so will have to relearn how to move her jaw and eat. The news just gets better and better .... and as for the financial damage of this little escapade ... let’s not even go down there - it’s quite horrendous!
Catching all the water droplets!

The Chocolat Express is soon to gain a new passenger! When I said the right hound would come along for Carol, I never expected it to happen QUITE so quickly. Carol has been trawling the internet looking for suitable hounds .... and she FOUND one!!!

Sam the Man .... from Aussie land .... is joining the Lahood family ... how exciting is that! He’s all of 8 months old and he’s BIG ... I think he might even be bigger than the hound .... and she’s 3 years old!
Alfie ... the Papillon

... and you got it .... ANOTHER log!
He was returned to the breeder as the person who’d bought him was being transferred and wasn’t able to take the hound with him. The breeder had thought of keeping him herself as he’s a magnificent specimen - strong Labrador stock - but she already has several dogs so listed him for sale. Carol saw him .... and LIKED what she saw.  Amazingly enough, he has the same bloodline on his father’s side as Sebastian had ... how co-incidental is that!
Now THIS is evil!!

It’ll be a few weeks yet before we get to meet him as he has to have blood tests done, and injections, and his transport over arranged. Carol is chomping at the bit ... she can’t wait to welcome him to his new home.
She's got hold of a tiny little branch and is carrying it sideways.

Much to Pete’s dismay she’s planning on getting him a green collar .... cause he’s an Aussie hound .... and a Wallabies rugby ball. I can just SEE the consternation we’re going to cause in the waves!
Right mom ... now that I've chased all the seagulls off the rocks, can I have the treats now?

Exciting times ahead as Sam the Man joins the fold!

Reflections ....

... and more reflections ...

.... and YET more!
