A mixed bag of nations!

Hmmmmm .... Tigger was so right when he wrote to Pooh that Pooh’s smile made his heart bounce.  My heart was bouncing this morning seeing all the smiling faces as my hound and I enjoyed our walk .....

Why were so many smiling you might ask??  It might have had something to do with the flags sticking out of my backpack .... and the ball the hound was carrying ... we're a mixed bag of nations, you see .... her and I .... and from today till the end of RWC, we'll be displaying our patriotism for all to see.  It was magical to see so many beaming smiles .... and the expected shake of the head .... on such a gorgeous day.  Would that all days could be this perfect!!  Auckland has exceeded expectations from a weather perspective ... it's warm and sunny with a slight breeze .... perfect for RWC kick-off!!

What a glorious day!

I knew I’d wind Pete up with my patriotic flag display today and sure enough, he didn’t disappoint!!  Wanted to know how long Gav had known me for and where on earth he’d found me ..... I think he wanted to ask if Gav hadn’t thought of returning me to sender .... yeah right!!!  ... Mom wouldn’t have me back even if you paid her!!

One of my dog-walking friends ... another Carol, strangely enough .... was delighted that I was displaying my flags on my walk .... she’s supporting the Wannabees ... has tickets to the final but is only going if the FF aren’t in it!!  It’s so funny .... if the FF’s are in the final she’s giving her ticket to her son but if they’re not, she’ll be there, in all her Wannabees finery ... even if the Wannabees aren’t playing!!!  Like me though, she believes the final will be my Bokke against her Wannabees .... so cool!!

When I was posting this blog today and adding the photos, I couldn't help but feel so fortunate to be living where I am right now ...... not only do I get to enjoy this magnificent spot we live in ..... and walk on the beach and in the waves everyday ...... but I get to enjoy and participate in RWC 2011!
I am so very lucky!!
